I started on this series called “Metro Reads”.. So far 3 books have come out, “Love over coffee” (LOC), “Where girls dare” (WGD), and “Dreams in Prussian Blue” (DPB). I have read all of them.
WGD was my favourite, a tale about Lady Cadets at the OTA, Chennai. A sense of satisfaction and triumph prevailed after finished reading it.
LOC was good. The IT bashing was totally enjoyable.. So was the romance. and the climax was fitting and after a long time, unpredictable even after 75% of the book.
DPB was the most interesting.. I hated the guts of the writer to create such a character. My head went through a wide range emotions. I was confused, enraged, happy and very sad for the characters. But i was undoubtedly drawn to it in spite of wanting to throw it out at times. The character of Naina was subtle, stupid and immature, but still, the growth and the situations she is put in are unique, but believable. I recommend DPB for the sheer audacity of the writer and the way the story is told. A book that does not keep glorifying the central character but bashes her and keeps everyone well rooted. Well written, and thank you for keeping making me feel all that in a book, and surprisingly the emotions never stagnated.
